Maternity Photos || Water session in Austin, Texas
What a naturally beautiful person, inside and out. I have to admit, I get a little nervous when I am meeting someone new the first couple of times. (Which is one reason why I usually insist on meeting for a consult before hand.) I arrive at this beautiful location in Austin, TX and I am instantly excited and nervous at the same time! Jennifer is obviously a people person, though, so it didn’t take too long for my nerves to calm down. We have a little walking ahead of us, but she handled it like a champ! I recently purchased this ivory gown to start a wardrobe collection for my clients to use in maternity photos, she really pulled it off!
I get totally lost in the creative zone in every single session. I often wonder about how much of a crazy person I might seem! There are a lot of things going through my head. How much light do we have left, what is my background going to look like, how can I get the perfect exposure, depth of field and perfect amount of sun haze. And so so so much more! Composition, where to place my beautiful subject and how are the trees going to look at this angle. How does the dress look, is there any hair in the face, etc. It’s really a whirl-wind of excited emotion and creativity overload! I love it!
It is my goal with every session to make my clients feel comfortable and to show them how incredibly beautiful they are. About half way through this session, I start wondering if Jennifer has any modeling experience because I haven’t had to really position her much at all.
It is obvious that Jennifer will make an amazing mother and I can’t wait to take newborn photos with her and her husband in September/October!
